I know it says in the article $30 million cap/team, but I can't imagine they can pull that off. I was thinking a league cap of $30 million. I wonder if a mistake was made.

There is absolutely no way their revenues would support that.

I’ve met him and he’s part of a friend group with a guy who I’m friends with. He’s actually such a nice guy, and I doubt there is another person out there who has put as much effort into what he has created than him. He never missed a game, he would bail on hang out with his boys to go watch the game alone. Because he was working. He created this himself.

That being said, I can’t stand the character.

I watch 3ice, which is the current 3 on 3 league, once in a while and it is pretty enjoyable and exciting.

3v3 is great for regular season OT. Wish it was longer to make sure the game ends that way. I like the idea and would give a change for fringe NHLers to make a different impact somewhere. Someone like Phillips is probably good for this type of thing.

That said, for a full game, the surface would need to be smaller IMO, like basketball court size. And the game shorter, like 20 min halves or something. 3v3 for a full 60 on full sized ice would be slow AF by the end.

I would be interested if it wasn't being run by the Saudi's.

It's confusing to me. It sounds like the underwear gnome business model.
It's not just about profit, it's about trying to get people to forget about human rights atrocities by giving them sports.

The Qatar World Cup is an example as well.
