I'd bet my house on Dallas, Colorado and even Vegas over Edmonton in a 7 game playoff series

That's why every year when playoff rolls around, they have this awakeness that they are playing the same team every second night and against a starting goalie. And no one-line team ever won a cup, let alone 2-players team.

But he knows something about winning?

It very much seems like this is Kenny's last roll of the dice.

Did he roll a 1 so he decided to trade a 1st?

What do you mean? They have about 6 Mark Giordanos ready to go anytime.

Just a friendly mod reminder here - given that most hockey fans I encounter in the real world don't hold the amount of vitriol for TTUN (stealing that from OSU's verbiage) that CP does, it's sometimes good to pump the brakes with the piling on. Just because someone doesn't think this isn't the worst trade ever doesn't make them an Oilers fan, and they don't deserve to be run off the board.

Sometimes we get a little insular around here, and it's perfect fair to discuss the merits accordingly.

Henrique is a good player. I don't even think he has a lot of baggage or social issues. Thusly, it doesn't make much sense from an oilers point of view

Buyer Beware

The biggest knock against Henrique is his footspeed. He isn’t a burner by any means, so if a team is looking for pure speed, he isn’t the guy. According to NHL EDGE, Henrique is well below league average in top speed and number of speed bursts. Again, Henrique is a heady player who plays with poise. He doesn’t rush to spots. And that converse of that is he is rarely in the wrong spot.

Henrique also should not be confused as a defensive forward. He isn’t near the top in any defensive category. His defensive zone touches aren’t high. He is in the middle of the pack among forwards to recover pucks, which sometimes leads longer stretches where his team is pinned in their own end – but it’s always tough to determine how much of that is on Henrique, the four other players he is with, or his team’s planned structure.

Henrique plays a lot on the penalty kill, fifth in the NHL among centers in shorthanded time on ice per game (2:36), but the Ducks struggle on the kill. They rank 25th in the league (77.4 percent) and Henrique has been on the ice for 14 of the 44 goals that unit has given up.

But can Henrique master grabbing an opponent's stick and falling late in the game to get the automatic power play? It's integral to their game plan.

The media are going to fawn all over that team as long as the wonder twins are playing for them. When the wonder twins wise up and realize that they are just spinning their wheels in Bumonton and move on to greener pastures, then the media will find a new team to fawn over, probably the Leafs.

Expensive, sure, but if you have a Championship window you should do what you can to kick that window as wide open as possible.
Championship window…… hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

The Oilers have waaaaaaaaayyy to many holes to be spending premium assets for marginal depth players. Anyone for a second thinks Mavi and Raisaitl are going to let The Knob take them off the PK and give up chances for McShorties then you are fooling yourself.
