I wonder if they'll get a former 30+ goal scorer, a 1st, a solid prospect, a decent prospect and a conditional pick for him?

This starts to look like Conroy was at Ikea and started the car.

Have to think that'll put the Bruins out of the Hanifin sweeps.

when's the last time a supposed rental gets flipped again? I remember the Isles flipping Vanek again, but they had acquired him much earlier (November or so) and only flipped him when they couldn't get a long-term deal done. But this ... this feels unprecedented. I'm here for it though lol

Flips happen but usually almost immediately.

There was never a guarantee that Lindholm would gel with his linemates in Vancouver or the type of game they play. If he can find his game again with the Bruins, good on him. There's no shame here, he wants to earn a contract and sometimes there's opportunity to find a better spot (and for Vancouver to get a package that works better for them). I feel like Boston would be a great spot for Elias.

If this helps me the Canucks get Guentzel it’s a smart move IMO.

Maybe Boston wants to sign Lindholm to an 8y extension. I hope Lindholm scores the winner to knock Tre out of the playoffs. I bet Dubas hopes that too

I dont think either of the Calgary players that Vancouver took are meshing well with the team. Big Z has had his name out there for trades already.

I have a gut feeling on this, nothing else.

The Lindholm acquisition is weird to me because it seems like they aren't sure where they wanted him to play.

I assumed they wanted him to play as a C, and have Miller, Lindholm, and Pettersson all anchor their own lines. But then they played him with Miller and Pettersson out the gate.

Lindholm + Pettersson: 90 mins - 46.8% xGF
Lindholm + Miller: 27 mins - 32.5% xGF
Lindholm on his own: 57 mins - 58.8% xGF

Kind of feels like the issue was more that they were trying to move either Pettersson or Miller away from center to play Lindholm there, and it never worked.

But that seems foolish to me anyways...having Pettersson, Miller, Lindholm anchor three separate lines, with Lindholm taking the defensive matchups is how you probably win a cup.

Conroy fleeced.

Lindholm has coasted for almost 2 years and bad habits have developed into his game. You can’t take games off on a team trying to contend and Lindholm takes many games off.
