Just watched the video highlight part of the ceremony; so many amazing saves.
You barely get those type of acrobatic saves anymore, goaltending used to be so much more fun.

I was 10 in 04 and will never forget being in the dome for the Shark's elimination Game 6. A core memory I'll always cherish for the rest of my life. Was tough not to tear up during the ceremony. These player's impacted so many of our lives, this is what it's all about.
It's funny. I was around for the '89 Cup win (I was 14 at the time), and it was awesome. But my absolute favourite Flames memories are from the '04 run. Maybe because they were the scrappy, lovable underdogs which somehow made it more fun, as opposed to the stacked powerhouse that the '89 team was.
I was lucky to be in the building for the game 6 OT win against Detroit. When Gelinas scored that goal, I jumped so high out of my seat I nearly fell into the row in front of me. My dad grabbed me just in time, otherwise I would have ended up in the lap of the person sitting in front of us, lol. Just an amazing experience. And the noise in the 'Dome, holy s***! It was absolutely deafening. Such an amazing experience that I'll never forget.
Here's hoping we'll all get to experience that feeling at least once more at some point down the road.

I was 7 going on 8 during the '89 run and 22 going on 23 during the '04 run.
Winning the Cup was nice but I was still too young to realize just how special it was. The '04 run I was able to appreciate it more.

You don't see reactivity and flexibility like that anywhere these days.
Goalies are much stiffer and positional.
Guys like Mike Smith makes Kipper look like a cirque du soleil acrobat by comparison.

Detroit game 6 was like nothing I’ve ever experience. Inject that #### into my veins.

I want to go off topic a little and throw some love at Noodles.
Every single goalie or player who has ever played with Noodles loves him. I've never met him, but he must be a helluva teammate and an even better guy.
