New Korean Fried Chicken restaurant now open in Harvest Hills: Chicko Chicken
https://dailyhive.com/calgary/chicko-chicken-calgary-2
Apparently they are a popular chain in BC?

Has anyone tried Robo Chicken on Macleod across from Chinook? They use robots to cook and serve the food. It might be worth checking out for the novelty but I’m curious if the food is any good.

Kelowna seems to do poorly in the Asian cuisine realm… and most people don’t seem to care. The number of people I know that do take-out from Ozekis is wild and it’s so subpar.

There was Korean fried chicken restaurant there a few years ago, I think it only lasted a year.

I imagine it was probably good. There are some really gross out buffets that manage to live on, but anything genuinely good kind of just dies.

It was good but probably ahead of its time.

I ate way too much and didn't feel any ill effects after, vs if I eat the same amount of KFC or Popeyes I feel like #### for the next 12 hours. I'd put Chico slightly ahead of Wow and Yum Yum, and for us their location is perfect

Last time we were there the asian food was terrible. Like not consumable.
The trip was pretty awesome though. We airbnb'd this entire 3500sq ft farmhouse.

Kelowna has some heinously bad Chinese buffets.

Thank you for this recommendation. I tried it earlier this week and really liked the spicy garlic.
Cluck n Cleaver has "Good Bites", which is their best value IMO. Everything else is weirdly expensive.

A new start up - BBQ Chicken in haysboro is the same, it's so weird. Really, really great fried chicken that I'd eat all the time, except.....every meal is huge and nothing under $20, and I and presumably many others don't eat there because of it. I even asked, confused "Umm, so any plans for individual meals?!". She was like "Yeah, we've had lots of questions on that and would like to make individual meals in the future".
Like what? You're a fried chicken restaurant with a lunch crowd in the area and literally only offer family meals for $20 and up, lol. Just bizarre. Like you must know that every single individual and even many couples are going to love your chicken but not return because you have nothing on the menu for them?

Are you talking about the one in Southland Crossing? I went there when they opened, and had a sandwich and fries that were under $20 and pretty good. Haven't been back though, as I've been going to Dosirack in the same mall- FANTASTIC tasty bowls for $10- awesome corn dogs and super friendly owners

SFC Seoul Fried Chicken is definitely the best chicken I've ever had.
The downside is you have to go to Edmonton to get it.
If you are there though, it's worth the visit for sure.

The chicken could make me climax with every bite and it still wouldn’t compensate for being in Edmonton
