Ottawa was no match for the Esks last night. I've been waiting for them to turn it around, but their 1-6-1 record this season now makes last year's Grey Cup sting even more. I know they have lost a few players from last year, but this season shows their 8-9-1 record last year was perhaps even generous and were playing way above their ability late in the year. Hard to believe the Stamps choked so bad last year with the personnel we have.

Footballs a funny game that way. While Calgary certainly was not good in the Grey Cup, at the same time the RedBlack coaching staff had a perfect and simple offensive game plan and they executed it perfectly.
DD was exposed as a rookie coach as was Devon.

Calgary had no business winning in 2001. That was an even larger difference in the talent of the two teams. Just the way football goes.

I would agree with you if the RedBlacks had continued to dominate in the second half, but it was like 2 different games and Calgary just didn't show up in the first half.

Good point re 2001, but i don't remember the Bombers dominating the league in 2001 like the Stamps did last year in the regular season. But that could just be because i'm not a Bombers fan.

The Bombers' 2001 offense is up there as one of the all time best. Their D was #1 in the league too. I'd also say Ottawa was a better opponent than Calgary. At least Burris is a HOF QB. Crandell was always terrible.
That Bombers team should have won the GC 45-0.

Whoever is making decision in video replay booth in Toronto ought to get their eye check. Come on I probably watched the same replay they were watching and that was a definitely a sack and not an incomplete pass. I know Chapdelaine doesn't have to use his one and only challenge because Montreal is ahead by 15 with over 3 minutes left in the game but it is comical to call that an incomplete pass.
I have no idea why is Kyrie Hebert still allowed to play in this league. What a freaking dirty player trying to hurt Toronto QB Fajardo. It was close to the same dirty play he made against Jon Cornish.

I agree with you.. the only reason that ball left his hand when it did, was because he was getting rocked. It was a reaction, if you would even call that a throw.
As for the Toronto QB situation. They are in trouble if Ray is out for any length of time. Fajardo is going to have a short career if his go to play is scramble scramble scramble, with the occasional safe throw.
