I missed seeing this trade yesterday.

I think if Lack can get back to his Vancouver form, then it's a win for the Flames especially since Carolina is paying half his salary. Plus Kanzig was never going to make the NHL because of skating and being passed by all the other defensive prospects we have.

As for Ryan Murphy, I remember him being highly touted way back when and I thought he would be a good reclamation project, but then I just saw he was bought to keep the spot open to signing Stone.

Gulutzan was one of the Canucks assistant coaches the year that Tortorella decided to play Lack over Luongo in the Heritage Classic. A move that showed either a lot of faith in Eddie Lack, or a lack of faith in Luongo. Either way I don't think Lou played another game for the Canucks.

The more you know.

When your job is to try to get hit by solid objects coming at you 100 miles an hour, I feel like "certifiably insane" should be a pretty marketable asset.

It is interesting to look at all the responses to Lack's goodbye tweet to Carolina. He certainly seemed to be liked by their fan base!

I feel like you were trying to point out bad things but accidentally made him my new favourite Flame.

Luongo was benched as he was traded a days later.

- But all goalies are weirdos. You don't wanna share a room with a weirdo.
M. Kiprusoff on why he never shares a room with another player.

Could be. It was one of those horrible home games when everything went wrong for us. Colorado, I think.

Can't wait to see Lacks new gear. Wonder if he'll go with the Flames logo on the pads or just flames?

It was Philippe Sauve. The infamous night where Chuck Kobasew scored a hat trick to get to 20 goals, and made Bertuzzied lose a bet.

Hoping for just Flames. That would be awesome. Either way it will be unique for sure
