All around the Greasers are widening the gap all around on the Flames and leaving our team far behind. What are the Flames doing to close the gap??

HF Oil was convinced he was going to get under $10 million AAV.

Spector on the Fan. Already mentioned "cup" and Kerr put him in his place. Also said "Oilers fans are understanding what it's like to have 2 superstars".
All in 1 minute of being on Air. Comedy-puke worthy gold.

For Oiler fans sake they'd better be getting him for max term if they're signing him for max dollars.
But if he's 14 and Draisaitl is 7.5 to 8 and Russell is over 4 or 26 million for 3 players over the next two years, they're going to have to move major contracts and they don't have the organizational depth to survive that.
If its 14 million and lets say 5 years then Chia has failed badly in terms of negotiating kind of like he did with Lucic.

Why do they even bother to have that moron on. I mean he's a fanboy not a serious hockey journalist.
And he's terrible at being a fan boy he's a homer extraordinary.

There is no negotiation. Hes a 19 year old with an Art Ross a Pearson and a Hart.
He gets what he wants pretty much.

Spector and Staffer have been sending out hints for weeks now that the return for Eberle was going to disappoint fans. Likely being fed by Oilers management.

He just threw out $17.0 m as a number for BOTH McDavid and Draisaitl.
*EDIT*: And he now just suggested that Darisaitl will come back to Edmonton at a discount so as not to "mess up the structure." He is using Crosby as awn example of a player who left money on the table when he signed his second contract with Pittsburgh.
What a moron.

$14M for McDavid
Eberle for Strome
$4M x 4 likely for Russell
Today is a good day.

I mean, McDavid is still worth $14 million, it's just nice he's not going to give that team an extra $4 million to work with every year, for no reason.

Spector threw out $11.0 m as the high water mark for McDavid's contract. He's dumb.

Spector hasn't researched what the max salary for a player is. He thinks it is 15% of the cap when it is actually 20%. 15 million on a 75 million cap is the max.

The one missing piece from the $14 million dollar contract would be the 4 year length to hit UFA right away.

No wonder why he thinks it's only going to be $11 million.
