He got paid more than backup money last year at 1.7M. Seems fair to me.

So, is there a quote from Johnson or even his agent where he says he wants more or is all of this based off of the musings of Dreger (of all people).

Remember this key when considering current society - Very few people fully read or understand anything on the internet before commenting.

Importance

1. Listen to my thoughts on this!
2. Read article, understand what's being said and by who

I'm convinced you could post literally a broken link as a thread on Calgarypuck and say "Gaudreau doesn't think he should have to practice as much as grinders" and if no one spoiled the fakeness 60%+ posters on this site would lose their minds and start mashing their opinion into the keyboard.

36th out of goaltenders, so 1B money for a 1B goaltender.

What injury concerns are you talking about?

So… he's 35 years old, and has been placed on IR once in his career? Yeah, that guy is made of glass, all right.

He missed the final 10 games of the season in 2014 after he was fallen on in the crease and injured his leg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaLbIk5SjEA

He missed 12 games last season after twisting awkwardly trying to make a save and hurt his leg again: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/c...loss-senators/

In 2015-16, he missed 40 games after having "core muscle" surgery. I can't find video of this one. It seems like it was more of a cumulative injury that he tried to play through before they decided surgery was the best solution.

Those appear to be the only major injuries he's had since going to the Coyotes.
