Default Should the coach,GG, be brought back?

I hang the series loss on him, he should've known when to change goalies.

Well he led his new team to a 17-point improvement, so I'd be hesitant before calling for his head.

We aren't your Oilers. We here in Calgary don't typically favour burning through coach after coach.

Absolutely. It's completely asinine to suggest otherwise after this season.

Yes he'll be back, the Flames aren't going to start playing rotating coaches, that would be utterly moronic.

He also got the Flames a 20+ improvement over last year, markedly improved special teams, reduced goals against and a 10 game losing streak.

I would argue that they might need to look at some of the assistants but he'll be back, he'll learn from this experience and hopefully be better for it.

If Treliving is back as GM absolutely as he did take the team to the playoffs. If for some unforeseen reason (nothing really surprises me with Flames ownership/upper management) Treliving isn't retained then I would prefer the new GM bring in his own head coach.

You just said you were going to cheer for the Oilers. Now you're making a thread about the Flames coach.

You can't out coach bad goaltending.

I think Johnson would have started the game if he wasn't hurt so recently.

Don't mind GG really, would like better deployment, but if we have improved depth with young players next year then rolling the lines should be much more effective.

Man, if they don't renew Treliving I'm gonna be mighty pissed.

Let's not go all Florida Panthers on this rebuild.

I thought we played pretty well this series but the little details killed us such as that line change. I'm willing to give him another chance since this is his first head coach gig and he did reasonably well this season

Just look at how long the flames took to adapt to a new system. Lets try not doing that again. Get some good goaltending, re-sign stone, and hopefully add a top 6 winger. Hoping a few guys like Janko and Andersson to make the team as well

Not a huge fan, but it's not his fault that Elliott forgot how to stop a puck. He needs to make the hard decisions quick though. He always seems to take too long to make adjustments. That being said, he deserves another year.

He will be back. Not a great coach, but he did have a good season after his systems were rolling.
