Sharks in 6. Playoffs are completely different than the regular season, and Conner is going too have a shadow on him every shift, slashing and taking shots every time he gets a chance. It's going to be an ugly wake up call for Oiler fans, and it's going to be quite entertaining.

Oilers depth fail and the Sharks lean on the Oilers D.

McDavid doesn't find the same openess in the neutral zone.

Sharks in 7 and they blow out the Oilers in the last game because McDavid is exhausted.

Hope the sharks win in 4, mcdavid gets perma vertigo like that lady from arrested development and retires, oilers fans riot burning rogers place to the ground and kevin lowe gets hit by a bus in the ensuing chaos.

Anything less = disappointment

The Sharks are probably the easiest draw in the entire conference.

Sharks in 4

Recent slump? They're an old team and it's showing as they've been struggling for awhile now. A slump is a few games, they are showing to be a team that is falling off due to a combination of age and a long playoff run last season.

That isn't going to change because it's day 1 of the playoffs.

Oilers in 6.

Oilers in 5/6. As much as I hate to say it, the oil have been pretty consistent all year long. They are a better team than many of us Flames fans give them credit for. McDavid is just too good to shut down completely. Talbot has held the fort all year long for them with no real slump.

Heck, even their defence has improved this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Oilers sweep them.
You're a good poster, but you gotta step out of the Rogers broadcast bubble. The Oilers are razor thin and in a series coaches will play a system to limit McDavid, they don't do that during the year for a one off matchup.

They'll be out.

Yeah, Edmonton is a strong playoff team. The way they got there is a huge piss off as a rival fan, but the truth is they won the division because that's the team they are compared to the other teams, right now.

They are a solid team, and McDavid is the second best player in the game, and just like when rival fans used to try to take away Calgary's success because "Well, take away Kipper and.....", it's silly then and silly now. He's a part of the team.

My first "oh crap" moment with the Oilers was when they traded Hall for Larson straight up. Not because they got good value for Hall, but because I knew they were making the right team decision to focus on defense and take from an overpopulated, soft, offensive minded top 6 to do it.

I think the Sharks ran out of gas for a while there and they took the the foot off the pedal. They are still a vet squad one year removed from a SCF. They are going to destroy the Oilers in 5.
