"Miss, that is not a bloody pint!"
"Um, sorry, that's what we call a pint..."
"EXCUSE ME! What WE CALL a pint?! It's not a proper pint. A proper pint is 20 ounces. I don't care what you bloody well call a pint. That's not 20 ounces."
"Umm, sorry..."
"Take this back and bring me a proper pint, miss."
"I'm sorry, we don't have bigger glasses."
"You're a pub and you don't have proper pint glasses?"
Nervous laughter from waitress.
"Alright then, I'll pay you with WHAT I CALL dollars. They're 80 cents. So I'll pay you four dollars fifty for this pint you want five dollars seventy for."
And he was dead serious.

Sounds like my Dad as well. Last week I met him at Tim Hortons for coffee. He wanted to buy, but I had some roll up the rim to win tabs I've been meaning to redeem. So I gave him to my Dad. However, they wouldn't accept them for some reason. My Dad was really upset and gave them a super hard time about it. I was very embarrassed.

They usually have a cut off day to use them. I think they also rotate colours between regions so you can't hoard or use them elsewhere. Speaking of which it should be starting soon.

Was at St. James Corner for lunch. Guinness and Magners at a real pint, everything else 16 oz.

If they tried to serve a guiness in a 16 ounce pint the IRA would most likely blow the pub up.

Oh yeah? Well where are they on the Kilkenny issue? That being, why is it so hard to find Kilkenny on tap in this city?

It's part of a dad's job to embarrass his kids, great fun.
