Just had a lady complain that her computer wouldn't turn on. I walked over and pushed the power button... on her monitor, everything else was fine.
How do you function in life not having enough basic knowledge to do that?

Lol. Been there. I'm going to see a client this afternoon that can't open pdf's. These are not difficult things people. You don't have to be a programmer to use google and install something. Oh well, I get paid an hour to go install acrobat reader. Good times.

The one in your stomach would as the acid is much stronger although the nail in your stomach would be pushed into your small intestine well before it was disolved causing a lot of damage so I will pass on this particular experiment.
The pH of coke is higher (Less acidic) than the ph of your stomach.

Pepsi has slightly more sugar, calories, and caffeine. Coke has slightly more sodium.
There are also mysterious differences in the natural flavors included in each drink.
Despite these differences, most people can't tell the difference, according to a study by Samuel McClure and Read Montague: "Coke and Pepsi are special in that, while they have very similar chemical composition, people maintain strong behavioral preferences for one over the other. We initially measured these behavioral preferences objectively, by administering double-blind taste tests. We found that subjects split equally in their preferences for Coke and Pepsi in the absence of brand information."

Coca-Cola® (Coke®) and Pepsi® are nearly identical in chemical composition, yet humans routinely display strong subjective preferences for one or the other. This simple observation raises the important question of how cultural messages combine with content to shape our perceptions; even to the point of modifying behavioral preferences for a primary reward like a sugared drink. We delivered Coke and Pepsi to human subjects in behavioral taste tests and also in passive experiments carried out during functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Two conditions were examined: (1) anonymous delivery of Coke and Pepsi and (2) brand-cued delivery of Coke and Pepsi. For the anonymous task, we report a consistent neural response in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex that correlated with subjects' behavioral preferences for these beverages. In the brand-cued experiment, brand knowledge for one of the drinks had a dramatic influence on expressed behavioral preferences and on the measured brain responses.

We have someone in our office, who is not much beyond this with respect to her computer. Some of the questions - mind boggling.

Working in a cubicle maze GMG. Or rather, being in the same cubicle maze as one of my coworkers GMG.
If we can all hear your music through your god-awful Apple earbuds at a level where I thought you had your speakers on, you just might be causing long-term damage to your ears.

My wife is like that, won't drink Coke but will drink Pepsi. Plus, I'd guess she was addicted to it, even though she has quit since Jan. I don't get it.
I have about one Coke and or Pepsi a year usually with a greasy Pizza and a massive hangover.
Beer, Water, Coffee, and Caesars make up 99% of my beverage intake.

This quote doesn't really add up to me. It starts with people can't tell the difference and then goes on to say that half the people prefer Coke and half Pepsi in a blind taste test.
That implies to me that everyone can tell the difference and half of them prefer Coke.
Giving people both and asking which one they like better does not test whether or not they taste different.
A better method would be to prepare three random samples two of one and one of the other and ask people if they can identify the one that is different.
