I wouldn't take it as an insult. It points to a well coached team buying into the system. I think its the ultimate compliment. Almost as good as Jumbo Joe's compliment about the Flames after the SJ game.

What did Joe say?

And this is true, the game did go pretty late. Really hope he gets the start in Dallas though. He earned it.
I just read that MacDonald is getting the start tonight, Ramo played brilliantly last night, doesn't make sense that they wouldn't start him again. I know it's back to back games, but it's not like he's played enough to be tired anyways..
The two goalie are in competion for the starting position - Flames want to see how MacDonald responds now.

It actually makes even more sense not to start him since he hasn't played much.
Would be rough to go from 3 weeks of no game action to playing 3 games in 4 nights.
#Kings C Mike Richards says of #Flames' win Monday: "They played a solid, easy, boring, road game . . . ." #nhlpn
I think it shows that Richards, while a talented hockey player, is not exactly the smartest of hockey players. If that was a typical boring road game, then we've been watching much worse home games for the past 5 years.
Or it's just a canned response after losing a game at home to a worse team (on paper).
QUESTION: People say they put their TV on mute and listen to the Fan 960 for audio. I've tried this but the radio is always a good 5-10 seconds ahead of the TV (digital cable). Are these people watching with rabbit ear TVs or what? I just don't see how it works if the TV feed is behind the radio feed. Definitely can't deal with Maher calling the play well before it happens on the TV. Thanks.

Ummmm wasn't that the way they played when they won the cup? I mean sure we were all happy and excited they swept the Canucks but it wasn't exactly end to end hockey.

I think the people who dislike the TV personalities enough to listen to the radio instead probably don't really care about the delay.
That said, I really wish that I had te option to turn off the commentary and just listen to the game. Doesn't seem like something that would be too hard to implement. I remember watching a game a year or so ago where the commentator sound cut out but the ice mics were still coming through. It was awesome.
When Stajan returns I imagine you will see Jackman put on waivers or even traded outright. Bouma and Galiardi are both much better in 4th line roles and Jackman can't play center. McGrattan has been more physical without taking a single penalty and even drawing some of his own. Time is ticking on Jackman's time with the Flames.
