to make room for Jones:

Pat Steinberg ‏@Fan960Steinberg
Should be hearing very soon Street is Abbotsford bound. #Flames

good move, he doesn't need to clear waivers because he hasn't hit 10 game or 30 days yet.

Bob Hartley says David Jones is game time decision. Similar to Cammalleri in LA. He played so will Jones. Horak game time decision also.

my guess is that's a typo and it's supposed to be "Butler/Breen not decided" at the end.

yeah but he has to pass waivers again after playing 10 games or being 30 days on the NHL roster, whatever comes first. In Street's case, he would need waivers again after the Dallas game if he stayed in the lineup on this road trip ... so it's wise to send him down before risking to lose him on waivers.

Playing the Yotes seems to always be a snooze fest. Please make this interesting.

Bouma - Horak - Galliardi?

Show me a stronger 4th line in league...

It may not be sexy to talk about your bottom 6, but ours is really strong.

Cue the losing streak now that the roster is getting healthy and to full strength.

Joe was playing between them yesterday too.

Wasn't really sold on the Colbourne trade initially, but he's gotten significantly better each game. Starting to use his size well and has had a couple solid chances to put the puck in the net, just hasn't converted ... yet. If Jones is in tonight, this is a solid line up.

Butler had no obvious gaffes last night, but I'd still like to see Breen either tonight or in Dallas. Really like how Russell is playing, he's been a very pleasant surprise thus far.

Many games last year were snooze fests. This year's team is so much different in terms of effort, system, speed, excitement, etc. I've looked forward to every game so far, and as long as they continue to play the way they have the first eight games, I see the excitement staying.

That's fair, but the Yotes have been very well-known for trying their darn worst to choke the life out of games and trap pretty much all their opponents to death.

Is this a compliment or an insult?

I just read that MacDonald is getting the start tonight, Ramo played brilliantly last night, doesn't make sense that they wouldn't start him again. I know it's back to back games, but it's not like he's played enough to be tired anyways..

I wouldn't take it as an insult. It points to a well coached team buying into the system. I think its the ultimate compliment. Almost as good as Jumbo Joe's compliment about the Flames after the SJ game.

Its back to back after a late night game that he saw a lot of shots. I'm betting he's still trying to recover fluids.
