One of many who is too boring; thinks that there should be rules regarding grammar in custom user titles, and also makes moderators wonder if there is a charachter limit here. I mean come on- you would think that would be a limitation in the software

I'm not sure I'm willing to pay $80 a set until season 3.
Good to know their pricing is still completely out of whack. This series has always been overpriced though ... oh well. I'd probably pay around 300 for the series, but not 560.

They do come on sale from time to time. I got the original series on blu ray for 130 (3 seasons) and they're on Amazon for 240 right now.
The DVD seasons were very overpriced and it didn't change for a long time. Just like the Star Wars bluray set maybe? Not sure that it gets much better for awhile after the initial sale price. We will see, but I didn't want to have to pay anything higher so I said to hell with it, buy it.
We have discovered an anomaly in the English 7.1 DTS Master Audio track in our Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 1 Blu-ray Box set. There are some episodes that inadvertently had their front channel designations incorrectly mapped, resulting in an undesired playback experience when listening to them in a 7.1 or 5.1 Surround Sound environment.
Yeah, but how long after it's release? 8-10 years? The original DVD boxes came out at $170 each. I saw them go down to 80 at one point and then they released the entire series in that box set for ~500, which eventually went down to ~300. But it's now almost 10 years later where you can buy that $300 box set.

This. I dont know how long after its release, it came in a big green box.
I've heard in the past that the other series (DS9 etc) do occasionally go down to like 160 for the series as well but only maybe a couple times a year.
I wonder if I could convince the library to pick them up? I keep borrowing seasons on DVD, and there seems to be high demand for them, often put on hold.
