Honestly that's the worst thing that could happen to the Flames. They are currently sitting in the 11th draft position and it's possible Winnipeg could still surpass them and drop the Flames into the top 10. Nobody is going to care about these last 6 games on the Friday of the draft if the Flames are in position to pick another Sven type player. Going on a run will only change their draft position from 11 to 15th which doesn't serve the team well in the long run.

This marks the first game of the season where I do not care if they win or lose. The way that 8th position in the conference presents a mental block to them that results in embarrassing losing streaks is deeply disturbing as a fan.
Here's hoping for a big off-season.

This is exactly what I expect to happen as well, with the 9th spot being sealed with a loss to ANH in the final game of the season just to really depress everyone, those that were hoping for the playoffs and those that were hoping for a better pick.
Location: Hoping Timmy Thomas and The Hockey Gods stop a soccer team from winning The Stanley Cup.
Exp:
4-3 Flames.
Iginla, Giordano, Moss, Jokinen.
Go Flames Go!

Oilers suck.
We're sitting in 20th. The Jets are in 21st...5 points behind. Would it really make that much difference?
just checked the standings. freaking hell. jets have 1 less game played than calgary but 1 more win. all those overtime loser points are really putting lipstick on a pig of a season for the flames.
