[Help] Firefox home button opens new tabs

Everytime I press the home button on FireFox 4, it goes to the homepage, but it also opens a new blank tab. This gets pretty annoying when I hit the home button a few times and look up and there are all these tabs open. I can't seem to figure out how to disable it. My googling ability apparently sucks today too, because I can't find an answer.

Any tips would be appreciated. I have a feeling this is a really easy fix that I'm overlooking.

It's possible that there's a script on whatever you've set as your homepage that's opening a new tab. If you change your homepage to something different, does it still happen?

You probably have 2 homepages set. One being your normal homepage and the other being a new tab page.

Try closing all your tabs but your homepage and set your homepage again.

I had hit "use current page" before and this time just copied and pasted the url in there.
