That looks awesome Chalms. I've yet to be successful carving any NHL symbol.
Thanks! The licks of flame were pretty delicate, and almost collapsed on me a couple times. The trick was to put the chunks back in while I trimmed back the edges.
Chalms, what did you use to take the skin off around the C? I wanted to try doing that but everywhere I read said that you should be using woodworking tools and I ain't got no damn woodworking tools, yo! I thought I might just use a knife or something.
I'm going as a samurai but have no toy katana (
does anyone know where I can buy one, or anything resembling an asian/ninja sword?
Checked toys'r'us and value village... nothing.
Any suggestions
Thanks!

Are you just going to a house party or you going to bar? I find bouncers are randomly picky about costume accessories. They weren't fans of my Neil Diamond GH guitar last year.

Cardboard+duct tape. Cut out shape of sword x2, then tape together with tape going length wise.

First time carving a pumpkin in my adult life, pretty pleased with the result!
Nice! I've lived in Edmonton (St. Albert actually) since 2005 and I carve that one every year. Looks so good at night with the flame too. Can't believe not once have I woken up Nov 1st to find it smashed all over the road, kinda disappointed actually.
