Kind of sad when you think about how the 2000s Stampeders were largely a joke while the 1990s Stampeders were the class of the decade - yet each decade resulted in the same number of Grey Cup Championships - two.

yea, they spent half the decade even worse then the riders (who were not good at the time either) and still managed 2 cups. meanwhile the Allouettes were the best reg season team in the decade and only managed the same as the Stampeders. actually now that i think of it, every team in the west right now won 2 cups this decade! only east teams were Toronto and Montreal to win a cup.

hehe, oh yea, thats right. the Riders almost won the cup, but they forgot how to count, oh well, they get to keep up their proud tradition of having...3 Grey Cups in 100 years (things always take a little longer in Sask, too bad the team took too long to count when it mattered most!)
haha riders

Was about to write the exact same thing. The Stamps should've won at least 4 or 5 in the 90's, man did they ever choke it up a few times. That's why I love the '01 GC so much when we were huge underdogs. It was getting a Cup back for all those ones we shoulda won the decade before. Take a look at the numbers:
90's: 127-52-1. Winning %: 70.5, Division Titles: 7, Grey Cups: 2
00's: 86-91-2. Winning %: 47.8, Division Titles: 2, Grey Cups: 2
...interesting how two drastically different decades can produce such similar results. Just shows its not about how you start, but how you finish.
