No. IMO Kipper completely misplayed that 2-on-1. If Moss didn't turn it into a 2-on-2 at the last possible moment and bail him out it's a 2-2 game, and who knows what happens from there. You can't come out that far to challenge the shooter when it leaves the net empty for the other guy. Kipper needs to hedge for the dangerous man, and he doesn't. I know the defender is supposed to take away the pass, but even if he does everything right there's a good chance the pass can get through, in which case Kipper needs to be in a position where he can make the save. In the St. Louis game (read: fresh eyes) their commentator was saying that Kipper gets off his angles, and that has nothing to do with Keenan. Keep in mind too that Kipper has a new goalie coach this year. It's obvious that Marcoux couldn't turn him around, maybe McLennan deserves some credit for his (partial) resurgence?
Goalies makes mistakes and thank god Moss came back and helped him out. I agree the Rangers could have score on that sequence but it was a team effort. Kipper been bailing them out all night and curing that time it was Moss turn to bail him out. The important thing was the Rangers did not score on that play and the Flames won.
Yet another example of why Saskatchewan Roughriders fans are the worst in all of sports: A group of complete retards wearing green jerseys interrupted the moment of silence in honour of our fallen soldiers to cheer the final score of the football game when it flashed across the OOT scoreboard. What an embarrassing bunch of clowns.
You're right because I've never heard Flames fans do that. Furthermore, you realize that they are Flames fans too right? Maybe it is the classless Flames fans that did this.
Funny, when I wear my Flames jersey I'm a great fan, when I put on green I'm a horrible person.
Unfortunate incident though. No one should yell during moments of silence.
Oh, and apparently you forgot to mention Leafs fans who did the same thing last year:

Ignorant *****, I was fuming when I heard that cheering. God damn, cheering because the score came up on the screen? Stupid idiots.

This year it was Rider fans, last year it was Leafs fans and this post from 07 says it was probably Oiler fans:

Calgary just can't do it right when it comes to a moment of silence I guess. That or it is always the idiot opposition fan (and sometimes home fans but who are Rider fans).
And apparently we (Flames fans) ruined the moment of silence for Luc Bourdon (stay classy Flames fans..wait what?).

During the Luc Bourdon ceremony in Vancouver this year, you could hear idiots yelling "go flames go" during the moment of silence. Way to represent Flames fans everywhere, idiots.
It always seems to be the idiots up in the sportchek zones that are total trash and feel theneed to yell stupid s*it during times like those.

I think the problem is that when drinking there is a certain percentage of people who feel compelled to shout woo at any opportunity. You know these people, when there is a camera on them they look at the camera do that #1 finger thing and say woo. Tell them they have cancer and they will yell woo. Shoot their dog and guess what they will say? that's right, woo.

Thing about goalie is you have a 90%+ rate of success rate (stopping the puck). Minimizing mistakes is critically important. It's not like he misread some flukey deflection, it was obvious has the play developed that the pass would be an option, and had the pass gone through Kipper would have had no chance because of his own positioning. That's why while I'm pleased that he's doing well overall I can't say that he's as good as he could be or that the quantity and quality of the scoring chances he faced was the only reason his performance had dropped off.

Calgary is such a great city, man I had a blast. What a game, 7 heroine beer and the best nachos in the league. Cowboys is quite the fun bar as well.
That traffic is stupid though.

While I agree that was lame, I think this is a good example of why generalizing is a bad thing. I was sitting with 5 other Rider fans and we did not cheer, but held the silence and honored the soldiers.
When you group us all together like this, it really pisses me off.
We watched the game downstairs in that restaurant in the Dome I can't remember what it is called, with a bunch of Stamps fans and we all had a blast joking back and forth. I am not sure where all of this hate comes from.. I have never had a problem cheering with people from opposing teams. I think you need to stop throwing all of us under the bus.

One of many who is too boring; thinks that there should be rules regarding grammar in custom user titles, and also makes moderators wonder if there is a charachter limit here. I mean come on- you would think that would be a limitation in the software

The generalization is well earned. If you are a good fan, then in my experience, you are the exception, not the rule.

Generalization is just a politer way of saying stereotype. Which is never a good thing or well-earned. Just because you, in your own sample space of experiences, have had poor experiences with Rider fans, does not mean that all Rider fans are, as a rule, disrespectful. Give your head a shake.
We get it, you don't like the Riders or Rider fans, that doesn't mean that ALL Rider fans are disrespectful or "the worst fans in sports" Is there a larger portion of Rider fans that are disrespectful? Possibly, but really there is NO way to prove this since again, you are only going off your own sample space of experiences. Even if you gathered experiences of more people, the results would still be biased or skewed since there are only a handful of sports fans you are ever subjected to in Alberta.
As mentioned previously in the thread, other fans of other teams have done the same disrespectful thing; I don't see you stereotyping the fans of these teams.

Earned or not, it still doesn't make it right.
