My grandpa has hundreds of hats and they all get washed in the hat shapped thing in the dishwasher. Would never know any of them had been washed, they are all in perfect condition after that.

One thing about the dishwasher, wash it by itself, and no soap.
I lost a hat to dishwasher soap. Went in blue, came out blue/pink.
