not sure I understand waiving Bozak in the first place. Wasn't even put on the trade block ... surely there's GMs who would have been interested in trading an asset for him?!

Maybe I'm missing it but I don't see in the rules where it says you need the cap to claim a player. Obviously you'd need to get your cap compliant after a claim though, which could be challenging after adding a 7mil player.

not sure what the specific question is
If a team makes a claim they go to the bottom of the list
Otherwise it is reverse standings
A team could claim him and then waive someone else to get under cap

Sorry for the non-question.
Is there a way to figure out what the priority is for claiming?
My understanding is that it goes by standings. (current standings, right?)
When a team at the bottom of the standings/top of the priority makes a claim, they go to the back of the line.
Is there a way to see what that priority list looks like and to have it updated (I'll happily do the updates and post it) each time a team claims a waived player?

I file the claims in a folder and simply check that when there are any claims. That's always been the simplest way to manage it. Why are you wanting a list?

While Bozak isn't a guy you'd see on waivers in the real NHL, his salary is quite high so I'm not going to blame him. We've seen in the real NHL players with high salaries who are still quality players placed on waivers.

Interesting. I guess I should check to see how much more cap I can clear!

Seriously considering putting in a claim, just for kicks.
Hey, does anyone want some players for cheap? Call me!

No reason for wanting a list. Just thought it would be cool to see.
Fairly easy to figure out who has/hasn't made claims if you go through each GM page. I just thought it would be cool if there was a simpler way to see it or if it was listed somewhere and I didn't know about it.
Not needed though.

If I was in cap trouble, I would waive a 71OV, 7mill, UFA player too. He's on a 2way deal so it's the right deal to make imo given the circumstances.

Islanders and Rangers have had claims this season
That leaves us with the Habs, Sens and Caps.
Habs are in the basement so they get him.

Damn. Released a couple guys from the AHL so I could make Bozak fit.

Wouldn't Bozak go to Washington because Montreal already claimed Vande Velde this year?
Or am I missing something?

I'm clearly misunderstanding something about this though. My bad.

I assumed he meant teams without a claim this season

Caps didn't file a claim. I misread what was in the inbox (seeing them waiving Lashoff).
Habs claimed Vandevelde before we began our season, which is when I reset the waiver list.
