they need to win, get some excitement, and have people come out to the stadium. then again, im sure most people who would go to those games alreayd ahve been to a TFC game and know how nice it is
Frankly Toronto is a pretty poor sports city as far as football is concerned. You'll get temporary great crowds if you win. But other then that whether its the NFL or the CFL crowds have been pretty apathetic.
If it wasn't for the TSN/toronto collective, the team would have left there about 10 years ago.

Its not licensed, which means the team names and player names aren't there but they're hoping if this is successful that will change. Looks like its PC for now but they also want to port to console. Its being released on Steam
I'm probably going to buy this to support the game if its reasonably priced. I would assume that they would want to improve the engine as this almost looks 2013ish. Then they can add on features and approach the CFL for licensing.
Its going to be tough going for a niche game. But I love the idea of being able to run a 12 man offense. I used to make a Calgary Stampeders in Madden, but the field size and rules and 11 man roster made it not as cool as it could be.

I actually bought the developer's first attempt at a CFL computer game way back when (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFL_Football_%2799). It was awful. So buggy it was unplayable. Hopefully he's got this more stable before releasing it. For me, not having even full season play makes it a non-starter. I just can't see myself playing endless one-off games.
Full set of team cards were available from 1974 to 1976.Then resumed from 1980 to 1987. There are fan made sets available.
Played this game as a kid too. So cool that a CFL game was created. I remember that it included nicknames for many of the players, most of which I'd never heard of. Tom "Cheech" Forzani and Gerry "Guido" Dattilio are two I can remember.
Brand themselves the Toronto Maple Leafs and play on an artificial ice surface.
All kidding aside Toronto's a terrible sports town for non-Leafs entities. If the Jays continue to be in last place through July the August September attendance figures for the Jays will start to look like Argo numbers.
