When is Drouin back?
The Avs won the cup with bad goaltending. I think they got a 900 save % and used a backup for a series to beat Edmonton.
It's not ideal, but if there is 1 team that can outscore their way out of terrible goaltending its this Avs team.
They just terrorized a top defensive team, with a vezina goalie.

lol he does this every year.
Plays friendly when the Jets make the POs and tries to get CPers on the bandwagon. Jets fail and Hellebuyck pumpkins, and Whiteout no longer takes the ribbing here well, has a meltdown and then proceeds to go rip CP over on his home board for sad Winnipeggers.
I like him best when he just focuses his hatred on the Oilers and Oiler fans, where it should always be pointed.
It's lame to make yourself a regular member here only to talk #### about us somewhere else on the internet. You wouldn't come here if this wasn't a good place and community to talk about the game.

Jets have some interesting decisions to make. Toffoli and Monahan are UFA's. On defense, DeMelo, Dillon and Miller are all UFA's. And in goal Brossoit and Delia are UFA's.
Next season is the final year on the books for Ehlers, Iafallo, Appleton, Namestnikov, Pionk and Schmidt.
Hellebuyck, Morrissey and Schiefele are signed long term. Hellebuyck has been superb in the regular season but falters in the playoffs. He's 31 this summer so still has a good amount of quality goaltending left in this league but needs to turn it around in the playoffs. He's been brutal the last 2 seasons. 2-8 the last 2 playoffs with a 3.75 GAA and 0.875 save percentage.

This was more when he was slamming us Stamps fans on the BlueBombers site with the exact same username. lol
The best was when the Bombers won their 1st cup in like 80 years and he was sinbinned so couldn't comment about the win. hahaha

Kind of goes back to the Montreal series against Price TBH.
In those last 14 playoff games...2-12-0 with a 3.92 GAA and a .886 save percentage.
That's rough.

Quite the conundrum when the guy that is mostly responsible for the team making the playoffs is also mostly responsible for their annual first round exit.

The Avs just have more superstar power and guys who can take over a game when the chips are down. Winnipeg is a good team with legit star players, but it's just not the same.

I didn't refer Calgary fans once on the other board in at least a year if not longer. Why are you lying?

No shame in losing to Colorado - they are simply on another level, compared to everyone else

Monahan was a non-factor for the Jets. Waste of a first rounder.

Not his fault they got steamrolled - everyone was a non-factor
Also, COL is probably the worst matchup possible for him, as their overall team speed, and the pace they play at, are faster than anyone else's

They probably should have picked up only one of Toffoli or Monahan and went with a speedy defensive forward or Dman with another pickup.

Maybe they should have used the 1st on a faster non-broken player. Montreal got so lucky to get the 1st for him.

Maybe, but they still wouldn't have won four against Colorado. The Jets' best hope for a playoff run was to win the division, and to be fair, they were only three points behind Dallas.
A slightly different distribution of points down the stretch, and Vegas would be curbstomping the Oilers while the Jets cleaned up on L.A. Colorado and Dallas would be a hell of a first-round matchup, still in progress.

Yeah I think he flies a little under the radar due to MacKinnon and Makar. Didn't have a particularly good series against the Jets but finished with 2 goals and 7 assists, + 6 and won 54.6 % of his faceoffs (in comparison to MacKinnon's 41.8 %, what's up with that?). The guy has 96 points in 75 playoff games. Not otherworldly, by pretty good. Obviously MacKinnon is the better player, it's not disputed by anyone, but Rantanen is elite. Interestingly, there's a lot of chatter that COL won't be able to afford him after his contract runs out after the next season as they probably and understandably will build around MacKinnon and Makar.

I don't think anyone has ever come back from that surgery.
But some people are hell bent on thinking all these teams have been scheming to cheat. Like missing one of your best forwards and captain for 2 years is some sort of plan. Hilarious.

Rantanen might be the second best winger in the leaguer, after Kucherov. He's in a group with Pasternak, Panarin and Draisaitl (face it, he's a winger now) and maybe Tkachuk.
