Say hello to the new Oilers! Bottom of the league for years to come, and those prospects in their system looks terrible.

Their right side didn't have much room for him given that they seem to like Troy Stecher (Tanev / Stecher / Gudbranson). They're probably going to have to play Juolevi next year, but he's left side anyway. Of course, they could have gone full rebuild by trading Tanev.

He is a 22-year-old kid living on the other side of the world, in a place where he doesn't know anyone and does not speak the language. I suspect that more than anything he just misses home. He may come back in a few years.

Spector was commenting on his fitness and willingness to put in the work not being where it needed to be either. Dunno.

It's Spector, so we can probably just ignore this.
While I don't doubt that these were seen as real issues in the early part of the season the Canucks completely brought this on themselves. They overpromised Tryamkin when they convinced him to sign a contract last spring, and they constructed that contract in such a way that they couldn't effectively get the player up to game speed. A team should NEVER sign a NHL rookie player to a deal that guarantees he cannot be assigned to the AHL—that was just dumb.

If you're asking about Spector, NO.

Long story short: Benning promised one thing, Willie delivered another.
This, in a nut shell, was what a lot of Canuck fans complained about. Willie not playing younger players and opting to play ####ty veterans.
We retain his rights and his contract in the KHL is only two years. Some speculation that he is making the jump for a better shot at the Russian olympic team, so there's that.

I heard the contract clearly said he couldn't be sent down but the Canucks still tried to anyway. Slimy organization. Sad!

But unlike those Oiler teams, we actually have two-way forwards and good D prospects.

"Huge blow" is pushing it.
He was tracking well to be a physical #4 guy. Juolevi and Stecher are both projected to be much better than Trammer.
That said, this does reflect poorly on this org.

Contract gave him an out clause, so he could bolt if they sent him down. Nothing about the Canucks not being able to try.
