Default STEAM Community Group (For Counterstrike, TF2, HL2, etc)

For anyone that plays on STEAM (counterstrike... etc), you may be interested in this.

I've created a group for everyone on Calgarypuck within STEAM. Click the community tab, search for "CalgaryPuck" (top right) and join the group. Only if you want to of course.

Hmm I (Spare-Flair) have got my work cut out for me if I'm going to go from 2nd place in Steam rating to 1st! (Regorium).

What's a STEAM rating?

Btw, does anyone know when TF2 is going to be released?

Next question would be is anyone in the Beta and does it seem like it's worth getting?

I heard they changed a LOT from TF1 (no grenades being a major one) and I was wondering how it plays.

I didn't play TF1, but I find TF2 very enjoyable so far.. a bit faster and more hectic than games I am used to but the look and production of the game is so awesome it's hard not to play.

Their style of promotion for this game, has been excellent. I haven't played the game yet. But their advertising makes me want to. The cartoon looking characters combined with the quirky humour of their videos is a welcomed change to most online shooters out there. I am pretty sure I'll pick this up (err download) when it comes out in October.

All that stuff continues in-game too.. each class has a bunch of things they say to each other depending on what's going on. One time I was healing a heavy while he was capping, and the medic yelled "You are healed!" when he was done, and the heavy then yelled "You're a good doctor!". It was hilarious.

EDIT: If you get it now you get a $5 discount plus you can play in the beta right away.
