Man, I kinda want to consider re-signing Smid in two years. He is so damn underrated. Deserved an assist on that Monny goal too.

Yep, pretty much a perfect scenario so far. Well, Hudler could score a goal or two and that would be ok too

Because Monahan is kind of a master at getting in open prime scoring areas.

I agree - unfortunately he will probably sit next game for Nakladal instead of Russell taking a seat

Engelland always plays relatively well if you ask me...not sure why he isn't always in the top six

Always nice to listen to opposing teams feeds who aren't incredibly biased homers. They just had a quick chat about Gio winning the Norris if he didn't get injured.

Would love to see Gio/Brodie, Hamilton/Smid, Engelland/Nakladal for a few games to see how it looks

If Hudler scored a goal on a right side slap shot, we have a real shot at the playoffs. That's his go-to move and he hasn't scored on it once this year.

How many people thought they'd be saying Engelland is pretty solid, even if it's the bottom-pairing I feel comfortable with him handelling the puck. I honestly feel the stint on the top-pairing last year really solidified his play this year.

I can hardly wait to watch the live Sportsnet feed of Monahan skating at practice tomorrow morning.

Smid and Engelland have both had pretty solid games, imo.
