Default What is Landmark Forum?

So what is Landmark Forum? My GF was invited by a coworker to go to a meeting with her, and she's been leaving her phone messages about it. From a quick google search it almost appears to be a cult of sorts

Anyone have any knowledge of them?

They hard sell that to you SO MUCH!

I went to one of their participant session things (Family friends invited me to go, thought I would humour them). It was cool with some of the people there, but the people who are a part of the recruiting try to hard sell you so much that I wasn't going to bother.

Ultimately, I have no idea what it's about... other than the fact that they like to push it on you if you go.

It's one of the most impactful courses I've ever attended in my life. It created an amazing transformation in my relationships and communication in my life.

I've attended the forum, the Advanced course, Self Expression Leadership Program and am currently enrolled in the Communications course. It's an amazing opportunity, and I would really recommend it.

A realtor asked me to attend. I could tell she was embarrassed to ask me, and seemed to be under a lot of pressure to recruit guests. I researched it and told her it wasn't for me.

I don't like organizations that encourage members to recruit friends and family. So awkward for everyone.

I thankfully didn't pay a penny as my company paid me to attend.
It's been an incredible resource for myself and the people in my life. It's actually used by large companies in the world for leadership training, such as Apple, lululemon.

And at one point in time, all the rage was 'The Secret' even Oprah was pimping it. The someone asked if starving orphans in Africa weren't doing enough magical thinking, and that is why they were in such a bad situation.

Once on a first date, some girl who's name I can no longer remember plugged that piece of crap in. And the last she ever saw of me was my back as I laughed my way out the door.

My friend joined Landmark a few years ago and they were very "cult-like", she started flaking out on everyone all the time, only hanging out with other Landmark people and would get constant calls from them if she was out with us. I would say beware if she were to join. But that is also just my opinion
