lol.

If it is indeed Filip Forsberg, that's a big acquisition for Nashville going forward. It won't be a straight-up deal - imagine at least a pick going back to Washington too.

Huge overpayment by Washington for a guy who I have never been impressed with. So much for teams never trading top prospects...

If they give Filip Forsberg for Erat I will start to be pretty dissapointed that we couldn't move Tanguay or Cammy today.

Looks like Minnesota and Washington were willing to overpay for mid-tier talent.

Forsberg??? WTF. So a guy who was supposed to go in the top 5 last year gets traded for an aging medicore 2nd liner. What the heck is going on?

It will be interesting to see Erat play with some really talented players for a change. I feel he's been a pretty good player considering the lack of top end talent that organization has had over the years. I don't believe this deal is bad for the Capitals at all as Filip is a decent player but he's nowhere near the talent Peter was.

Terrible, Terrible trade by the Capitals. Just such a short sighted move.

Erat is also signed for 2 more seasons at 4.5M per.
If he gets a good return, Feaster may have either missed a great opportunity or been handcuffed by the NTC yet again

My god, Erat for Forsberg?! Wow.. Maybe Feaster should have answered some of those Glencross calls.

That should take some heat off Feaster. Now that is a brutal trade by Washington!

If it is Forsberg I find that pretty interesting. Projected top 5 pick that dropped big time at the draft and then gets moved less then a year from the draft. Wonder if people were starting to see (or not see) something big in him. Was touted as one of the more NHL ready prospects but with perhaps a lower top end then the other top-tier picks at the draft.

Wow, that deal is out of nowhere

I like Erat actually. I think this deal is pretty even, Latta isn't exactly a useless guy either

Latta seems to be little more than a tough guy with some offense... sounds like a bad deal
