Default Buying Fireplace Wood

Where is the best place to buy firewood in Calgary and the price to buy? And does the place deliver to your place?

Thanks

Rona and Home Depot usually sell bundles of scrap wood for the cheapest price you'll get for firewood. Should you want the traditional logs go visit pretty much any gas station for a standard price. Neither of these guys deliver.

Ask Fireplace Arm Guy. I'm sure he gets all the killer deals on firewood.

I usually go to Burnco or a couple of smaller places like Spruce it Up (South of the city- Mcleod and 210th ave.) A loader dumps it into your truck, and a pickup truck load costs between $50-100 depending on the size of the box and the type of wood.

If using/borrowing a truck isn't an option, then I know Burnco delivers, but I think you tack on an extra $75-100.

I'm not sure a small $10 bag of firewood would qualify under "best place" to buy it.

"Best place" is in the eyes of the beholder. Should someone want convienence then nothing beats the corner gas station. Should someone want a season's worth of firewood then yeah the gas station isn't the best place.

Check the classifieds....you should find lots of options including delivery. I think I paid $80 for a 1/4 cord delivered to the yard a few years ago. Lasted me all winter.

I've got a lot of firewood logs sitting next to my garage.
About a pickup-load amount.

If someone wants to come get it, PM me.

ers

D'oh! I should point out I live in the NW, near Crowfoot Centre.
