Duke lacrosse "prosecuter" has been disbarred.
Good.
I hope the SOB never sees the inside of a courtroom again in any capacity other than that of civil defendant.
I believe it's far more heinous to be railroaded/accused/convicted of something you didn't do, than it is to allow a guilty man to go free. This guy is the epitome of a power tripping prick.

I think he's heading right where you suggested too. He ruined lives. He's much more guilty here than the accuser who lied her ass off IMO.

Really the only life he ruined was his own. The coach got screwed, but I'll bet the settlement he got from Duke is hardly a life ruining figure. And the kids were declared innocent and have been given another year of eligibility from the NCAA. Seeing this clown resign and get disbarred is really punishment befitting the crime.

The 3 accused and their families went through hell. The coach and his family were constantly threatened. The rest of the team lost a season and went through a year of ridicule. Not to mention this clown did a disservice to all legitimate rape claims, making this a media circus which is one of the major factors women cite when they dont report incidents of rape - exposure and embarassment.
The clown stripper/prostitute should be charged. What a joke she is. But no prosecutor in North Carolina will touch this case anymore... which is too bad.

Yup, Nifond's next two court visits will likely be civil court followed by bankruptcy court. He deserves to stand before a judge on the wrong side of the table in a criminal court though, IMO.

Really eh?
Each one of those three INNOCENT men will forever be known as one of the " Duke Lacrosse rapists".
Sound like a fair deal to you? I can see where this affects them for years in many aspects of life. Dating, employment etc etc.

'Ruined' is a very different life concept then 'made miserable for a year-ish'. Sure the kids should probably have a wallet sized copy of the ''we're sorry, you guys are innocent'' letter from the state on them at all times, but they've been totally vindicated publicly and have a nice Duke education to help out their future. On the whole, I think they'll end up in the 'fine' rather than 'ruined' category.
Now, that's not to say that I think it was a positive experience, I just think ruined it a bit of a reach. Perhaps this is being a semantics argument?

I honestly really don't think you get it.
They will be forever be known as the guys who were charged with rape. Innocent or not, they will have that on their minds forever, as I am sure quite a few other people will as well.
That's not a miserable year, that's something that will be with them until they die. They don't just get the charges dropped, go out for a beer together and laugh the whole thing off.

Perhaps, but I think this is more than a miserable year. This is something that will be with them for the rest of their lives. Sure people are sorry but I can't begin to imigane how that would impact them.

Im pretty sure the victims (the Duke lacrosse players) and their families have lost a lot of friends because of this. What those players had to endure, and will continue to endure, is terrible. Even though the charges were emphatically dropped and they were declared innocent by the DA, that doesnt remove the dirt from their reputations. There are those that hold reservations on their innocence, including Nifong's statements in his bar disciplinary hearings, and will always do so.
Nifong is disbarred and there's the chance that he'll face criminal and civil charges in the future. His life is in the toilet. But dont think that the players and their families will ever be whole again.

Had an idea!

Remember 88 professors at Duke accused them of being rapists. What kind of message do you think that sent to their fellow students?
I don't think they're going to forget about this for a long time.
