...but for those of you who still haven't checked it out, it is absolutely gut-bustingly hilarious.
If you liked The Office, or other similar character-driven sitcoms, you'll love it. The characters are so well written and the acting is so good that I can't believe this show is not more of a phenomenon right now. Too often, sitcoms are an excuse for wacko characters, but in this case, it's almost like the wacko characters are an excuse for a sitcom. That's how believeable the humour is, even though the people are so nuts. Like CYE, there's no laugh track, so the laughs are totally genuine and often come at you when you're not expecting them.
I recently purchased the 1st season DVD and have watched the first dozen episodes or so over the last week, and at least 4 or 5 times each epsiode I burst into laughter. Maybe it'll jump onto the radar in a big way in another year or two, kinda like Seinfeld did, but make sure to check it out now while it's still fresh.
I just finished watching the episode in which Tobias overcomes his "disorder" ( I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen the show) and then, feeling particularily liberated, overcompensates the next morning at the breakfast table. I am laughing again now, just thinking about it. Man, David Cross is good in this show. And the writing is just so damn amazing. Or the scene when Buster jumps through the glass window after his mother sees him on a date with Lucille (Liza Minneli). Classic stuff. Can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes.
But yeah, CHECK THIS SHOW OUT! EVERYBODY!

I actually just started watching it a couple weeks ago after the Simpsons season premiere, so I've seen only two episodes, but yeah, it's pretty good. I don't find myself laughing outloud, but it's definitely amusing, and it all moves so quickly. I'll probably rent the first season DVD. How many seasons old is it, anyway?

I never did like that show. As far as sitcoms go, Two and a half men is by far the best sitcom right now.
The Simpsons still rock. I don't get how king of the hill stays around but futurama gets cancelled.

I was looking forward to Arrested Development when I first heard of it, but after watching it a couple of times, I don't understand how it's still on the air.
Awful, awful show. I don't remember laughing even once.
I'd rather shave my head with a cheese grater while chewing on tinfoil than have to watch it again.

It is more deadpan humour than the in your face laugh at the gag humour that is found on TV these days, on such shows as Everybody (Except Jordon) Loves Raymond, and well hell most every other sitcom. The narration is great also.
Tobias was a never nude, which is exactly what it sounds like.
