Apparently showcase and whichever other network were looking into picking it up have passed.
What can you do.

Yup, I'll just download them after the weekend. I'm going out of town Friday afternoon and won't be watching them, probably wouldn't have stayed in to watch them even if I was in town.
I didn't blame Fox before for this shows demise.. but I don't like the way they've handled it.

The show is not cancelled officially by FOX yet. If ratings miraculously improve for the "finale" they might revive it.
Only after FOX decides will we hear about the show's fate on another network (most likely Showtime, possibly ABC). I think it's more likely that not that AD will return. The show is selling a ton of DVDS.

The Showtime deal isn't dead, nothing regarding the Showtime deal dying has been posted from an official source. The last we heard, Mitch was mulling it over and Showtime were still waiting for Fox to cancel it until they could pick it up. The president of Showtime has said in interviews that they're very excited about Arrested Development and would love to pick it up, so unless Mitch decides not to or Fox does something, we can only assume the deals are still in progress at the moment.

I saw that on digital cable as well, I'm not sure why Global only seems to be showing 3 episodes.
Oh well, I'll just watch it on Fox.

Fox is purposely trying to kill the program ,it does well then they for some stupid reason take a popular program during the best time slot for FOX programming Sunday Night and put it against Monday Night Football. Of course the ratingsare going to drop like bricks! Now they bring it back againt the opening ceremonies of the Olympics?

Still just a rumor at this point:

The latest I read Monday was that it was 50/50 that Showtime would order 12 episodes.

Rumors are rampant that Arrested Development has been picked up by Showtime for a 26-episode order. Page Six in the New York Post floated that story this morning, in fact (which was replayed on Salon.com).
However, that's all they are right now: rumors. Fellow Squadder Ryan j Budke found out from his source at Showtime, who is close to the negotiations, that they are still in talks about the show and nothing is official yet. There may be an official announcement later in the week, but that's about the only information we've been given.

Encouraging update:
http://the-op.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.p...=asc&start=195
Speaking yesterday on the radio, San Francisco Chronicle TV critic Tim Goodman seemed to confirm the rumors, saying Showtime will make official a 26-episode, two-year deal any day now. Goodman was the first to float a possible Showtime/"Arrested" deal back in November. He said on the KFOG morning show: "Everybody in the business already knows that this has been a done deal ... Showtime did pick up 'Arrested Development' for 26 episodes, two seasons at 13 each. And so it's great to see that." He also said he anticipates the deal including all the Fox episodes.
