So I thought last nights episode was pretty damn funny, especially with the analrapist title Tobias has taken and the Surrogate for George Sr.. BTW was that Super Dave Osborne as the Surrogate?
Thoughts on last nights episode?

Definitly was!
I laughed pretty darn hard when those cops jumped George Sr again and the last guy whacked him with the club. Totally forgot about that running gag from last season and it was hilarious.
I love Gobe taking a roofie for himself at the end, and the return of his puppet.

One of my best friends down here is Tony Hale's cousin. Forget his characters name though. Buddy maybe?
Ive tried and tried to enjoy the show....but I just can't. Just too weird for my tastes.

Yeah I guess it is an acquired taste. I think it's hilarious.
I have to say though that I don't like how they keep making jokes about the show overall. Like last night when Michael says arrested development then the voiceover is "hey thats the name of the show." I thought that was kind of hokey.

Lindsay: How do you think I feel? Bob Loblaw’s a handsome, professional man and I’m only used to... well, none of those things.
Tobias: Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over— an analyst and a therapist. The world’s first analrapist.
Tobias: No, no, it’s pronounced a-nal-ra-pist.
Buster: It wasn’t really the pronunciation that bothered me.
AD is on life support in the ratings. What a shame. Seems people would rather watch Wife Swap than the best comedy ever. AD might not survive for many more episodes. Hopefully a cable network will pick it up if Fox gives-up.

There are a couple of things working against AD. It is maybe too clever for its own good; unless you have watched it from the start, a lot of it would not be appreciated. I say buy or borrow the DVDS and watch it from the start. It will grab you.
Also, there is no laugh track. I think many people are confused when there is no laugh track to tell them what is funny. Other comedies started without laugh tracks and quickly added them later.

Good god is that show ever funny, I just about started crying when I saw Tobias' business card.
The icing on the cake was when Buster laid out Michaels date because he saw her seal backpack.

I love that, all of the old Family Days Characters seem to be in on the show.

Forget-me-now pills.
This is by far my favorite show on television right now, and actually the only one I will actually book time for.

I loved the slow-motion replay of the medal awarding.
And Tobias spanking Michael.

The surrogate and analrapist just had me on the floor laughing! I loved Super Dave's dry delivery of all the lines and how he just talked.. especially while he's walking out of the house and is still repeating everything that George Sr. was saying.. "Where is the surrogate going! Bring him back!"
MMF: That was an awesome part with the jumping of George Sr. and then the club hit at the end!

Great episode, just hope it isn't the last.
God, if Fox cancels this I will cry. But I'm prepared for all pre-empting that its going to get for a while. It will be other shows, baseball, and then, when it should be back, I'm afraid it just won't be.
I hate Nielsen Families. They must all be slack jawed yokels.

Yeah no kidding. People complain that there is nothing original or fresh on television and then here comes this show and no one watches it. I can't believe it! It just goes to show that people really do want the same mindless crap all the time.

Another great episode.
I've gotta say... I hate Charlize's attempt at an accent. It's terrible.

AD... Best comedy on TV, now and maybe ever.
Bob Loblaw (say it out loud).
Analrapist
Buy-curious
It is doomed however because it is my wife's favorite show. Every show she loves gets cancelled.
Bought the Season 1 DVD last night, and will probably pick up the 2nd season after it is released on the 11th.
I find AD's sense of humor is similar to the Guest movies (Guffman, B.I.S., and Mighty Wind) or even Napoleon Dynamite (PS. Heder hosts SNL this Week). I find with all of them there is about 35% of people who absolutely love them whilst the rest wonder what is supposed to be so funny.

Brilliant episode.
When they introduced this "For British Eyes Only" thing last week, I wondered if they were starting to reach as far as the season's storyline goes. But the humour isn't about the storyline- the plot is just an excuse for the well written comedic gold.
George Sr. flipping between the game and his wife on picture in picture had me keeling over. Buster gasping at Tobias' business card, the transcript of Lindsay's phone call with Bobblahblah, Lucille mistaking a girlfriend of Michael's as a maid, oh man. So many laughs.
Didn't know season2 comes out so soon. Will have to pick that up.
Charlize Theron's character is a bit weird, and she seems a bit spaced, but yeah, she's almost an afterthought with all the other bits in the last two episodes. Long live AD!!
Also- did anyone catch the part where Michael mentioned the term "Arrested Development" and the narrator cut in saying "Hey, that's the name of the show!" After that Michael continues with his conversation, arguing that one of societies biggest problems is its weak attention span and how people don't pay attention to detail, or something like that anyway. A jab at all the haters, and people who just don't "get" the show! Another zinger from left field. Man I love this show.

I picked up Season Two DVDs today (Oct. 11th). The only way this show is going to survive for a 4th season is through DVD sales. Buy a copy and lend it out to friends.
