Loungeburger
Figured I'd start a new thread as my prior comments are in the other burger thread. People often are looking for pre-flames game and post-flames game places to go, so I though this would be beneficial. As well, everyone loves burgers!!
New Burger restaurant opening up Loungeburger http://www.loungeburger.com/ probably this Tuesday. Soft opening was Friday, went well, I think they just are doing up some finishing touches on the place.
1331 Macleod Trail SE (directly East of the Nuera development and in the same building as ATB) in OPUS's Stampede Station Building.
Should be a good place to go before/after Flames games. They have a lounge side and restaurant side. Nice bar in the middle. Lots of TV's, music, nice improvements.
Menu consists of appetizers, main courses and desert (obviously) with the main theme being Burgers. You can pick through your choice of bun, meat, toppings, sauce, sides, etc. Some really great choices. Elk, Bison, Kobe, Crab, Chicken, Sausage, etc.

They seemed pretty reasonable. I think in line with an Earls, Joey's. etc. Except "The Lounger" which is the Kobe beef burger with a prosciutto wrapped crab claw, I think that was $40.00

Yeah, that was weird - I thought someone had signed up with the name "lambeburger" to troll the thread.

Crab Burger?
I love crab, but that just doesn't sound right.
Still, I'll try one for sure!

Does sound interesting. Cant' remember if there was a "crab burger" or if it was just the Kobe beef one with the prosciutto wrapped crab claw. I'm sure the menu will be online soon.

Good news. I work a block away and have been waiting for this place to open for a while. There's not many good places to eat lunch around here.

Hey Wookie, out of curiousity do you have any idea on how much cash these guys had to pull together to start this venture up? It sounds like a good creative idea for a restaurant.

Three of my friends and myself went to the soft opening as well.
Appetizers were all very good. We had the Kobe sliders, the stuffed meatballs, and a crab and/or artichoke dip (forgot what was in it). Portions were a bit small (not sure if it's because it was free ), so it was good that we ordered a few plates.
For the main course, we had the lamb burger, bison burger, shrimp burger and of course the Kobe.
The Kobe was delicious, although a bit on the small side. The lamb and bison burgers were also very good, and juicy too. The shrimp burger was only OK, and with all the great burgers to chose from, I doubt I'd order it again.
We really enjoyed the fact that they have a wide variety of flavors for their fries, instead of just having the usual regular or sweet potato options. Stay away from the onion rings though - they were not very good.
We weren't expecting too much out of their desserts, but some of them were actually very good. We agreed that the cheesecake was the best out of the ones we tried. Very creamy. We also had the creme brule and what we think was a chocolate cheese cake, and both were very good. Very nice portions as well. Finally, we had the Dessert Burger. Though cute (it looked like an actual burger!), it wasn't as good as the others.
I can see this place being really popular, especially when the Flames are playing at the Dome.

Hmm interesting.. I was looking for a spot to hit up for supper the Friday night of my Nov. Flames game road trip that I couldn't get in Stoon, this looks to be it!
Is it walk in only or do they take reservations? I imagine on a Friday, during hockey season, it will be fairly busy and plus will take me a while to navigate the city
Thanks Wookie!

From what I recall, the $40 Lounger is a Kobe burger with a prosciutto wrapped lobster claw and I think some form of Hollandaise sauce.

Mmmmm that does sound delicious - lobster claw, right, not crab. And I probably mixed up the shrimp burger and crab burger. Who knows...
They say it opens wednesday, go check it out!

Not yet, I'll see what I can do once they're into the swing of things and have gotten going.
Opened yesterday, anyone go? Someone posted above they work in the building, curious if people went?
Anyone going before the game tonight?

I want to go check this place out before a game, but fear today would be the wrong day to go.
If people know about it, I'm sure it will be packed to the tits tonight.

Did anyone go and try this place yet? I was thinking of heading down for the BOA tonight, just curious if it would be worth it.
