Center ice will give you better picture, better consistency (not relying on Internet connection). Gamecenter is way more flexible. On TV or on your mobile/ipad

Lol...thanks SP...it will all be streamed to my laptop or office computer. Does that assume CI as better option?

I have both. The picture is great on gamecenter but it's not as good as CI. Center ice is true HD. At least here in Canada anyways

I much prefer gamecenter as it is more versatile. Phone, iPad, ps4. You can watch on the go if you don't happen to be home. I haven't had center ice since 2012, so I don't know if they now show stats and standings, but it is a fringe thing I like about gc as well.

I'm in the US.

Centre Ice comes from your TV provider, if available in Korea, so streaming it to your computer would probably require extra hardware.

Game Centre goes straight to your desktop and or laptop over the net so it will be available wherever you are. It should be just a matter of signing in on whatever computer, tablet or most smart TVs you are using. It just can't be used on more than one a at a time.

I use hockeystreams.com Can't say enough good things about it - no blackouts, many different options for subscription lengths (days, weeks, months) and ability to use on pretty much any platform.

I was looking at getting GC next season. I'm possibly moving to Fort Mac or Grand Prairie this September for school, and would like to pick it up so I can watch pretty much every Flames game. Would that work out well in my favour?

I ask because I am completely getting rid of cable. My Roku covers enough for me, sans hockey games.

If you're going to be in Alberta, the Flames games will be blacked out.

That is horse crap. Absolute horse crap. Is there any way around that? Besides illegal streams or not moving to Alberta?

You can use unblockus or another service like it, which you should have anyway if you are living without cable

I'm not 100% sure on that as I never bothered, or can't remember, to watch Canucks games on game centre. You will be blacked out of national televised games though unless you use unblockus or similar. I remember trying Hola (it didn't work) and that blocked me from all games.

Nope. National games aren't blocked and I don't use unblockus

Interesting, maybe Kamloops puts you out of the Canucks area for some reason.

There have been no blackouts on Gamecentre this year. Even the national games are available.

Love Rogers!! They've really been awesome so far this year...have the full year gamcentre subscription for free as I am a business share plan rogers customer.

Thanks, I guess things have changed. This is my first year without GameCentre as I use to get it free from Bell.
