Default Quebec man shot by police after injuring two soldiers in hit and run. Terrorism?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montre...died-1.2806104

Rather silly of the backbencher to bring it up in the House of Commons before facts are known, but this is going to be a story. The suspect was already on an investigative watchlist as "possibly being radicalized".

He was shot dead by the cops. Some stories said he had a knife, though in other stories, some witnesses apparently claimed he was unarmed after getting out of the car.

Hope it's not terrorism, but they guy was known to federal authorities and...

Sadly, there will probably be more to come on our own soil.

This x 1000.
Why bring it up and potentially cause some panic by throwing around the T word? Politicians who put themselves before public and national safety should be drawn and quartered.

That "t" word gets the politicians a hard on to take away rights that you will never get back in the name of "safety"

Thoughts and prayers to the soldiers. The job is dangerous enough abroad without having to worry about risks at home.

I've said it on here before that these #######s will come to Canada and do this.

Next step creating Muslim areas where non Muslims get attacked for walking through, trying to force sharia law and making restaurants serve only halal meat because it suits them better.

Religion of peace my arse.

Hope the soldiers should make a full recovery, they have enough to worry about without being terrorized in their home

The fear for me is that if this is the new face of terrorism, its the perfect face. The lone wolf berzerker who's act is a small act but enough to get attention.

What even makes it more concerting is that CSIS came out yesterday and stated that they don't have the resources to track up to 80 targets that left Canada and returned.

The smart terrorist strategy is not to have the grandiose plans and the need to buy a ton of explosives and have different cells of people active that can leak or inform.

This if it is what it is, is truly terrifying, individuals using simple tactics and weapons to show us that we're not safe.

It could be a hit and run like this one.

Or a public stabbing

Or a home invasion

Its impossible to track unless you have 80 agents constantly following 80 suspects.

And if something like this starts to happen more frequently and its successful, like any political exercise it will grow and grow.

It will be like small pack animals attacking and biting a larger predator, eventually the larger predator will succumb.

I hope to god Harper limits immigration from Islamic country's, its sad but its not worth the risk, we need to deport any Islamist in Canada that we suspect is radicalized. The fact we have a list of potentially dangerous Islamists in this country and we allow them to stay here makes me angry. I'd rather offend Muslims in Canada by mass deportations of those who are radicalized than have even a single life taken by a extreme a view of Islam. We must be the only large western country without a major terrorist attack and id like it to remain that way.

Let me get this straight...you're proposing mass deportation on suspicion of radicalization, and yet you claim you're fighting against extremism. Perhaps you should look into a mirror to see what an extremist looks like.

Better yet, let's keep them and use them. Can't we just reopen the Japanese Canadian/Jehovah's Witness camps?

No way man, if they love radical Islam send them home where their beliefs will be respected, living in a prison in Canada is way better than life in the majority of the middle east right now.

I'm scared Canada will follow in England's path with appeasement of radical Islamist groups.
