Hm, might have to pick up LOOM and The Dig.
And why no Star Wars: X-Wing or TIE Fighter?!?!
It's been 15 years since there was a decent Star Wars flight sim. Cmon, it seems like a no-brainer.

No Full Throttle = no buy.
Also Even X-Wing Alliance would have been pretty decent.

The last iteration of X-Wing or Tie Fighter was for Window 95. It had some issues playing on Win98 and basically refused to run on Windows XP.
I recall looking into running these games on Windows XP a while back and reading something about how Lucasarts thinks it would take too much to update the code to run on a direct x based system or something (they run on that adlib stuff -- whoa old school).

Just re-write the damn code! Ports are crap anyways!
They already have the story in place, and I can guarantee that loads of people would buy it.

That's recent enough that you can probably still buy it and run it on a normal machine.

Secret of Monkey Island is being reissued soon too. Love that game.
I'll probably pick up Tales of Monkey Island as well.
I really hope Day of the Tentacle and Maniac Mansion are reissued. Talk about classic adventures.

I logged a lot of time with that game. I remember the first time I played it. I was so used to playing X-Wing that I was like... WTF no shields? This is going to be impossible.
Turned out to be slightly easier. Man I am a nerd.

Tie Fighter, X-Wing, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter were some of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. So addictive.
Also, Full Throttle... great game.

The X-Wing/Tie Fighter game series actually wasn't made at all by Lucasarts, they were just published by them. They were made by a company called Totally Games that seems to still be around but hasn't made anything substantial in years.

Just a bump to let you all know that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is now up on Steam. $10 for a classic game. Good deal.

Not sure if this is Steam related - but definitely LucasArts vintage related...
Pretty pumped for this: http://www.polygon.com/2014/12/8/735...ed-ps4-vita-pc
Yes I know the news is outdated, but people here were clamoring for some of these games and I saw no update so such is life!

I don't think you needed to bump a nearly 6 year old thread for this particular news. It was very confusing to read the first posts too, considering GOG has many of the games mentioned.
