Another massive video... oh well! That's only a good sign as Monahan improved upon his rookie season and finished with 31 goals and 31 assists. His goal total improvement was impressive enough, but he went from just 12 assists as a rookie to 31. Hudler and Gaudreau certainly helped in that department.
Such a smart player. Always gets into those right spots. He possesses a great shot, is solid defensively and will only get better. Future captain of the Flames?
Not only does Monahan have more goals than any other 2013 draft pick, he has 11 more goals than the next highest player in the 2012 draft class as well. We've got a gem on our hands.
Great video as always AC. I've only watched a couple minutes of the video, but it amazes me how many of his goals come down to good positioning. He may not be the most exciting player in the NHL, but he is on his way to being one of the most effective.
I always see Monahan neglected in terms of our young players in other fourms. People always seem to talk about Gaudreau or Bennett instead, but I personally think that Monahan is the best of the three thus far.
The goal at 24:38... so clutch. Flames and Coyotes tied 2-2 with 10 minutes left. Playoff hopes hanging in the balance -- a loss to Arizona (who the Flames were expected to beat) would be a huge blow with only two games left in the season. Monny chips the puck to himself, pulls up (letting the Arizona defenders go past), and then roofs it with that familiar Monahan release. Game over -- Flames win 3-2.

He's like that on the ice though too...Gaudreau would do all the Johnny Magic and draw the attention to himself, leaving Monahan wide open on the backdoor for the tap-in.
When the beginning of this season started and we were making predictions for Mony, there was the idea of a possible sophomore jinx. Nonetheless, many posters predicted a decent point increase - which was pretty optimistic given the expectations before the season started.
Mony the Expectation Shatterer blows up his previous point total instead, almost doubling it. Makes you wonder what he'll do next season.

Oh to have a #1 center, for years we dreamed. I really like his personality, he seems awkward and not arrogant which works tremendously in his favor. Work ethic and humility=playoffs.
