Which places downtown/17th show the game with game sound?
Looking for a place that shows the Flames game with sound other then Flames Central. Any ideas from the CP faithful?

A few places I've been just have some lame music on instead of game sound. Figured i'd find a place that has sound 100%.

Not really in downtown, but Fergus & Bix in Marda Loop just recently mandated that Flames games have to be on with sound.

A couple Sundays ago I planned to watch at the game at Flames Central (which infuriatingly enough was closed). I ended up checking out the nearby places on Stephen Av. OJ's wouldn't play the sound and the Unicorn didn't know how to work their new sound system.. Went to Bottlescrew Bills where it wasn't very busy but they have so many types of beer it doesn't matter.
They actually do draws during games for 2 free tickets, a pound of wings, 2 beers and a bus to/from the game. One of my friends won (of course the one guy who doesn't care about hockey) and he said it was a blast. Hard not to have fun during that comeback win against Phoenix.

Flames Central is an awesome facility, I hate the way it's run. You always feel like you're imposing on them when you walk in the door and want to sit down inside. Add to that, they seem to be hellbent in turning that place into some sort of electronic music concert venue as that's all they seem to have going on in there anymore. Even more, they don't have a bus to Flames games anymore and as mentioned above, their hours are more perplexing than a Flames power play. You never know if you can go there and and actually watch a hockey game.
Flames Central could have really thrived as a downtown sports-themed venue, but I think the people who run it have other interests.

I have been to Flames central a few times. the 2nd to last time I was there was great. Bourque had a hat trick, and Role Cyr bought the entire bar beer. great experience.
The last time I went there, they were showing the UFC fight instead, and were charging $10 cover. I left and told them I would never be back. Not sure why they think they are a wrestling bar.

See, there's these places called "bars". They may be disguised as pubs, gastro houses, eateries, clubs, and so on. So you might have to leave no stone unturned. Let us know if you find anything!

Been there many times to watch the game. The massive screen they have makes it a great place to watch it, you can sit almost anywhere and have a great view.
