If I was in the market, that 42" Sharp seems like a great deal, or is that pretty standard pricing now? I have been out of the market for a TV for a while now. (my 37" was $800 on boxing day 3 years ago)

My 42" was $1200 (twice the price as it is now) on boxing day 4 years ago.

Off topic post -

Funny story...My parents bought a Sharp Aquos 37" LCD TV in 2002. I believe it was the first model Sharp came out with, at least one of them. The thing is a beast, has a separate box for processing and A/V input-output cables. The crazy thing is that the picture still rivals what is available today. Refresh rate is a different story though.

Oh and they paid $6999 for it. That would probably buy you a 75" LED today.

*bump* to get this back on the first page.

And Ken, perhaps you could put a date in the title so people realize it is current as opposed to an older thread?

I can totally vouch for the U2311 - best monitor I've ever owned. $229 is a steal.

That Vizio TV doesn't look like anything special but $299 for a 32" LCD HDTV? Damn you Dell Days of Deals.

Just wanted to add, since when living in Canada I found most of my deals through redflagdeals.ca you guys should at least check in with them weekly.

Dell deals are usually rather dull in comparison, the stuff you find on redflag is pretty insane at times and stuff you never knew you needed ends up being purchased

Hence the danger of regularly checking sites like regflagdeals in our consumer-driven society. Buy buy buy!!!

RFD is evil... makes me spend way more money than I would normally.

I got one for $429 during the last Days Of Deals. I wish I had bought two. It makes my other monitors look like crap.

Thanks for the review! I held my trigger finger on that deal, but now I have the money and am fully ready to buy it once it goes on sale.

Two might be overkill for me. I love two monitors, but I might just have the one IPS monitor to do my primary stuff on, and then use one of my current monitors (20" TN's mostly) as a second.

I bought that 32" Vizio for our bedroom. Can't go wrong for $299. It sold out about 20 minutes after I pulled the trigger.

Unfortunately, now I have to carry our old JVC iArt CRT down to the basement.

Missed that cheap camera the first day, hopefully they have another one. 6 year old kid wants a digital camera to take pictures with.

Thanks for the heads up. This seems like a good deal. Basically the only feature missing from this remote is a charging cradle.

Wow, looks like it was a smoking deal - they sold out at the low price and bumped it up to 129 now.

I wasn't in the market for one but they were all over it at RFD.
