An Australian mother said she got the shock of her life when she found live maggots in a McDonald's cheeseburger that her three-year-old was eating.
Emmii McHugh bought her toddler a Happy Meal from an outlet in Maryborough, Queensland on 9 August. Her son had already taken a bite when she spotted the maggots, she said.
McHugh took to Facebook to write about the incident. "I've just bought a cheeseburger happy meal for my three-year-old and low and behold there are live maggots on and in the meat patty.

Australia, where even the McDonald's cheeseburgers try to kill you.

I got addicted to McDonald's back in the 90's when they had 59 cent hamburger Wednesdays and 69 cent cheeseburger Sundays

I wonder how many people will order 20 or 30 burgers and what the line up will be.
Lastly, I am picturing some very small burger - perhaps same size as the diameter of a typical orange.
Looking forward to some pictures from some of you avid foodies

Not all of them capped you. A buddy and I used to rollerblade down to Glenmore Landing and order 20-30 of them.

Nah we were in our early 20s at the time - high metabolisms and all.
Oh wait, remembering my college budget, I probably didn't eat the week before.
There was an older gent that was working the counter when we ordered. He was astonished and said we must have set some sort of record, then came out about 20 minutes later to see if we had finished them. Looking back on it, it was actually a pretty fun time.

When I worked at McDs they had the $0.59/$0.69 burger specials the limit was 10 per person, but all people did was order 10 and sit down then go right back in line and order another 10

Drove by a McDonald's around 11:15 AM today. Drive thru had a massive line and restaurant looked packed with people literally just standing around inside the main door waiting. Not sure if worth.

Reading Yonder Alonso's piece in the Player's Tribune, apparently they used to have $0.39 cheeseburgers in the US:
Quote:
When things are going well and Mom and Dad have some extra money and a rare night off together, they’ll order a small pizza for the four of you to share. Or sometimes on Wednesdays, when a fast-food restaurant called McDonald’s has 39-cent cheeseburgers, Dad will buy 20 and put them in the refrigerator, and you and Yainee will each go to school every day for a week and a half with a cold cheeseburger for lunch.
By the time you get to the last few burgers in the fridge, the bottom buns will be soaked in pickle juice and everything will just taste … old. It’s gonna be nasty. To this day, I still hate pickles because of those cold cheeseburgers.

Went to the Aviation Crossing location (McKnight and 12 Street) around 1120. Place was already packed, about 20 minutes to get our order. Some employees just tried to go there about 20 minutes ago, complete gong show and traffic backing up around the area.

Is it already closed and being torn down? I'm surprised as I thought they owned that building and lot. The developers who want to tear down the mall must have given them a great offer.
