Default Car insurance

Question regarding insurance.

Am I allowed to borrow a friends vehicle if I am insured for my own vehicle and they are insured under theirs?

How does it work when someone else drives your vehicle in regards to insurance?

Yes it doesn't matter if you have insurance or not as long as the vehicle is insured. Anyone can borrow it as long as they don't live at same address and you didn't tell insurance.

That's how I understand it anyways. You can borrow anyone's car.
