Default Help me decide what to sell on Ebay

Hello all,

I'm currently in the process of setting up a home-based business. I've found some very reliable suppliers of various items from blu-ray dvds, razor blades, handbags to baby clothes.

I'm trying to gauge what the average person looks for and possibly purchases on Ebay. Are you looking for new or used goods? Do you buy only from suppliers in Canada or will you purchase from a seller in another part of the world?

Appreciate the feedback.

Just in case you didn't know, http://www.kijiji.com/ might be a little easier to sell off that some of that stuff.

Kijiji doesn't really offer a store service like ebay does though...

Anywhoo, I'll go new or used, depends what I'm looking for. Although if it's something current I prefer NIB. Generally specialty goods that I can't get easily in stores, and prefer canadian suppliers for the lack of duty, but will order from the US if it's an item I can't get here.

Sure do. But it's not white and unmarked so there goes your idea.

I don't think he's selling off stuff he owns but something he gets from a wholesaler.

A good guide would be whatever is sold on dealextreme.com

My mom calls me all the time to buy handbags for her from ebay all the time. I think if you are selling from wholesale, new items will be what you have unless you are some of those collectible dealers.

I think it's safe to say that most people will buy from whomever offers the lowest price after shipping, it doesn't matter where they are. I would prefer to buy from within Canada but only if prices are at least close to equal what it would cost after shipping from an overseas seller.

I goto ebay first whenever I need anything, not the store, so it could be anything. I also often browse sites like dealextreme.com for lots of cool random things with free shipping.

I second this, I probably spend over $500 every year on that dealextreme, their stuff is just so cheap when I get bored I just go window shop there and next thing I know I got a hundred bucks worth of useless gadgets in my shopping cart

Thanks in advance for the input.
