Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2020 - Round 19
It's time for the 8th annual Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking, but at a different time of year and certainly at a different time.
First a look back at previous years can be done with this handy link: Previous Results
Once again vote how you want. There are those that vote 100% on potential, some that vote 100% on the likelihood to see an NHL rink, others that apply a mix, some using the value in a trade. Completely up to you.
I'll run one a day until we are done, and then FlamesAddiction wants to do a one off list version to compare the results.
We start with 35 names so this should get us pretty close to a Flames camp.
2020 Results

2. Zary - 62%

Going Boltmann here
I liked Francis but at the point now where I can't really question our scouts who had this guy ranked in the third round.
His low production in his high school league worried me, as did the fact that he's a bit older for this draft year (October 2019 birthday).
However his 9 points in 17 games as a d-man in the USHL was decent enough, and isn't that far off Jake Sanderson who was a top 10 pick ( 14 points in 19 games). Next year will be a really telling year for him IMO, hopefully he can dominate at the USHL level.

I’ve been voting Tuuola for a few rounds here but freely concede that it’s because we’re into the part of the list where I know nothing about anyone.
Edit: including how to spell their names apparently.

Rory Kerins:

According to FlamesNation’s Mike Wilson, Kerins had the fourth-most even strength goals of any draft-eligible OHLer behind only Marco Rossi, Cole Perfetti and Jack Quinn.

Good enough to get my vote right now.

Finally! A vote that really matters!
Poolman until he's gone. Honestly, you guys will probably see him play some NHL games in a year or so.

I went Kerins too. I think he and Francis are reflective of the Flames drafting skilled forwards in later rounds a la Mangiapane, MEP, Zavgorodniy, Phillips, etc.

Had a bad season in Stockton, went back to Russia and is currently putting up .869 SV% and 4.24 GAA.
What ever happened to him in Stockton, he looks done.
