Default Creepy Movie Recommendation Thread!

It's that time of the year again! Let's recommend some movies that creeped you out (not so much scary, but creepy as hell). Here are my recommendations:

Shutter (thai version)

The Others

Suicide Club

The Room

One of the best movies of all time recently re-released on blu-ray for its 50th anniversary... Psycho!

'Event Horizon' is also a pretty trippy movie.

Loved 'The Descent' from a few years ago... probably my favourite recent horror movie.

Event Horizon in it's day really messed with you.

I like the classics, some of the King books transferred to movie were decent like Shining and IT. Friday the 13th movies were so fun to watch for a laugh, just to see the ways he'd kill them (usually while the victims are on a boink fest).

I thought IT was great until the end when it revealed it's true form. That ruined the movie for me. Maybe I should read the book, as it would probably make more sense.

No, the ending ruins the book and the movie.

This movie scared the hell out of me, my sister and a friend when we watched it as kids. We were traumatized for years by it. I watched it a couple years back...typical cheesy 70's acting, but still kind of creepy. If you want to scare the hell out of the kids, I highly recommend it!

The Strangers is my favourite. It scares me every time. Anything that is based on a true story, or true events freaks me right out.

Roman Polanski's "Repulsion" is one that always pops into my head.

"Rosemary's Baby," "The Shining," "The Sixth Sense," and "Poltergeist" are some obvious ones.

AMC has been playing 'Silence of the Lambs' a lot lately. For a 'mainstream' film, it is really scary.

'The Shining' is another classic.

Another vote for 'The Strangers'. Not the best by any means, but the staging was great.

Also used to love 'Hellraiser' when I was a kid.
