Hope he actually plays a game this time. He was solid in pre-season and I really want to see what he can do.

I hope I am able to temper my expectations, but I'm really pumped to watch him in the NHL. I think he's ready.

They would call someone up whether he was out for 3 games or 20 games.

If it was a short suspension I could actually see them going with Smid and Engelland and not making a call up.

Now we just need Engelland to tweak something so Nakladal actually plays...

I'm really excited to see this team without Wideman. I'm not looking to debate it, but for me Wideman has been the worst Flame all season.

Really happy Nakladal will be getting his shot and the interesting part is Wideman essentially gave him spot. I hope Nakladal keeps it.

Flames still need to make another roster move if they want to activate Ferland for tonight's game.

Unless they got permission to put Wideman as non-roster for his suspension.

I hope Hartley can look at the big picture and give this 28 year old a chance to acclimate himself to the NHL. No more of this business of calling these kids up and sitting them in the press box as that's not helping anyone.

Which they would probably only do if it is a long suspension.
