One thing to mention is that I bought the retail box processor, not the OEM one. I think tigerdirect.ca has the retail box listed for 709.99 right now, but I realize they're not the best price around.

Anyway, I've been silently reading these posts and putting some thought into everything. I like the concept of parting everything out individually, but I don't have an ebay account, and trying to sell this stuff with 0 feedback rating would be pointless. Also, I need to switch to a laptop asap and, since I put so much into building this PC, I literally have to rely on selling this first before I can afford the switch.

So, having said all of that, and having taken everything into consideration... I've decided to lower the sale price to $1200.00 (and it still includes the speakers).

It sucks to have to take as much of a loss as I am on this but, ultimately, I should have been a little smarter in January and just bought a laptop in the first place.

Thanks again!
I'd just start on ebay. A week from now you may not have sold it and your items will almost be sold on ebay.

Or, list them on ebay, and keep it up here, if it sells here (or elsewhere)great, if not, you've got your bases covered. Everyone had to sell as a 0 on ebay, well not true... some people bought first. Do you have any friends whose accounts you could use?

This stuff loses value and FAST (obviously don't need to remind you, sorry).

Good luck!

Ebay even as a zero rep seller isn't that bad. You just need to convince someone that what you are telling then they are getting is what they are actually getting. Paypal is like a parachute for a buyer who gets scammed.

Take pics of everything, model #'s etc. Be available for answering questions and make sure you don't gouge (or be gouged) on shipping (with insurance). If it doesn't sell you are only out a few bucks.

Edit: Will send you a PM as well, but Ebay just sent me an email- apparenlty between March 16 and March 22 you can list your items for free.

Can I ask, if you just built it why are you selling it?

Good luck on selling it. This is a great computer at a great price. I have something similar with a lesser CPU, no Raptor, no sound card and only 2 GB of ram and it cost more.

I should have looked yesterday.

Every time I cursed my current rig over the weekend, I remembered this thread and was sooo, tempted. The price drop would have probably swayed me.

Well, a penny saved is a penny earned.

Heh, same here. It's hard to pass up a good deal, especially when your current pc is barely running the software you need it to.

Its a good price (I just built the same PC with Cosmos case instead), I have the same case, only blue that I use for media centre 360 video hosting.

The only problem with it IMO is that the HD bays arent modular so if you need to do any adding, moving of HD's you normally have to take out the video card.
