My observation is that there is far more of a bias in favor of the player than against.

And again, none of us really know, so all the views should be considered acceptable and good discussion.
I mean that's totally fine but even if you remove the single player out of it it's a bizarre take. Player A thinks he can player center, player A's team wants to try him. Random on the internet = No way it can happen ever. It's just odd. And there are hundreds of NHL scouts, none who give their opinions publicly.

All views should be considered acceptable but those that are nonsensical should be challenged.

It's probably because I'm paying more attention this year than others, but there's about 9 prospects that seem really exciting and I'm glad we should be getting 1 (maybe even 2).
It feels like no matter what, a really good prospect will be available at 9.

It’s possible 1 doesn’t apply to Iginla, but 2 does. For example, Mercer with the Devils was drafted as a C, has played a bunch at C in the NHL. But he’s much less productive when he plays C, so the Devils prefer him at the wing.

It’s just a huge jump to play C in the NHL. Half the guys drafted at C in the upcoming draft, including blue chip guys like Lindstrom and Catton, will probably wind up as wingers in the NHL.
Every wants Mercer because he’s a C who is being pushed down the lineup.

I’m not challenging you here, asking a question but how much C has he played? Did he switch to wing this season? Because if so he is a better player up the middle as he had his worst season.

You drive by with that BS comment before and don't take responsibility for it, but instead drop this beauty? The only part you are missing this time is taking a shot at "everyones kids".

One poster shouldn't have said it about Yak, but he is known for sarcasm.

What are you known for? Diss is right. Who the eff are you?

For the record I hope I am dead wrong about Iginla at centre if we draft him because him becoming a high impact centre would be massive for this club! I don't see it but it isn't like I haven't been wrong about stuff before.
